You Spoke, We Listened
Each year we look forward to feedback from our patrons. We want you to know that we take your suggestions seriously! Here are some of the ways we’ve integrated your ideas...
Going Greener, Going Mobile!
We know that the environment is on your mind, so we’re cutting the number of pages in our Festival Guide. More and more of you are saying that you use the internet as your main information source, so that’s where we’re putting it all!
Now our website is smartphone friendly: you’ll find QR codes on our materials. Just point your smartphone at the code, scan with the QR code scanner of your choice, and receive concert info right to your smartphone.
We’re also getting into the tech groove with our signage. By having more electronic signage, we’re cutting down on our need to recycle!
Ticket Price Transparency
Sometimes a ticket price isn’t just a ticket price. That’s why we’ve broken it down for you in the How Ticket Prices Work section on this page.
The Buttons Are Back!
You wanted them, here they are! Back by popular demand, we’re pleased to offer series pass Buttons to six different series in this year’s festival, providing great savings to the avid concert-goer!
Deadline to purchase buttons is July 22, 2011.
(Please note that Ticketmaster will issue you a ticket – bring this ticket with you to your first concert, and redeem it for your Button!)
There are no buttons available for the BMO Main Stage Concerts, Early Music Series or Jazz at the Cellar concerts. There are no further discounts available on button purchases.
How Ticket Prices Work
Ticket prices can sometimes be confusing, especially in this day and age of additional fees. At MusicFest Vancouver, we do our best to make our ticket prices as simple as possible. That’s why when you look in our Festival Guide or on our website, you’ll find the prices are what you actually pay when you purchase tickets in person. No extra fees. No surprises.
The price you see includes HST, venue fees and ticket outlet service charges. For example, from an advertised ticket price of $49, MusicFest Vancouver takes home $37.72. That’s $11.28 we integrate into the price so you don’t get that unpleasant surprise when you go to pay for your tickets.
Please note: When you order tickets by phone or internet, there will be an additional per order “processing fee” of around $2.50 to $3.75, depending on the event(s). Again, this fee is once per order, not per ticket, so we couldn’t build it into our listed ticket prices.
Seating Plans
All concerts at The Orpheum and Chan Centre are reserved seating. Concerts at all other venues are general admission.
